The state government has released new guidelines for public Ganesh celebrations in the state.

What are the new guidelines released by the state government?

The license should be obtained within 3 days of the application.

Ganesha should not be placed in areas where high-tennon wire is passed for any reason.

The Revenue, Public Works, Energy, Fire and Police Departments and the urban local bodies have been instructed to jointly take appropriate steps to issue the necessary license for the installation of Ganesha idol under single supervision to issue the necessary permits for the installation of Ganesha idols etc.

All urban local bodies should establish a single monitoring system including representatives of various departments concerned at the level of each ward.

Obtaining cover from the promoters to comply with government and court orders before issuing the permit

Instructing the organizers to conduct the program in a manner that does not cause public safety and environmental pollution.

The state government has said in the guidelines that an amicable meeting should be held with the local citizens.
